Cleopatra (Cleo for short) has been in Rescue a long time. She was one of our senior sweethearts. I can't thank her new family enough for opening their hearts and home to this wonderful girl. I wanted to share Cleo's letter to me:
Dear Foster Mom; Nila,
Just a little love note to let you know I am settling in just fine, but you will always be in my heart and I will always miss you...
I have made a forever friend in Charlie... he talks to me and tells me all his secrets, he hugs me a lot and takes me for some awesome walks... he knows just how far I can go before I get tired (he is so protective of me and never gets upset with me) and he always makes sure I have a warm
soft bed and a cover to keep me cozy... when he looks in my eyes I know I am loved unconditionally ...
My new mom and dad love me too and I love them, but my heart belongs to "Charlie"...
Thank you so much for allowing me to come to my forever home, I will never forget how much you loved me and all the praise you gave me...
Cleo

Jessie adopted Ms. Bailey
(previously known in Rescue as Izzy)This is her update:
Hey,I just realized I haven't sent an update on Miss Bailey in quite some time! Sorry about that. She has settled in quite well. She graduated intermediate classes at PetSmart in December and starts Advanced tomorrow! Our trainer is in love with her and says we hit the jackpot. She picks up new tricks so fast and has mastered rolling over, playing dead, high five, among others. A couple of weeks ago David started teaching her to jump up on our nephew's little tykes slide and then slide down the slide... we think she'd be pretty good at agility! LOL. Something to look into once we're finished with the advanced classes and have her K9 Good Citizen certificate.

Linda with her best friend Murphy(previously known as Ace).. I applaud Linda for providing Murphy an outstanding home!
Leo Adopted and now relaxing in his forever Home
Thor & Smoke Adopted and in their forever home

Zak is getting ready for his favorite game of fetch. He doesn't ever have to worry about not playing his favorite game, he is very happy and loved in his now forever home.

Sugar has been in Rescue a long time.. I am very happy to report she is now in her forever home!
This is a message I received from her new mom:
Well the new year brought a new addition to my family. Her name is Sugar and she is a 18 month old White German Shepard. Sugar was abandoned about 10 months ago and was lucky to be rescued by the K-9 German Shepard Rescue in Middleburg, Fl. Nila, her foster mother did an incredible job in bringing Sugar back to health and temperament.
I got to meet Sugar for the first time when Ana, Elo, and I drove out to Middleburg to see her. Ana thanks for taking us. I fell in love at first sight. Elo, her appointed godmother, said that she was a keeper and proceeded to take her for a long walk through the neighborhood.
On Friday, Elo and I drove with Sugar back to Miami . Thanks Elo for coming back with me and spoiling her along the way. Sugar was a pleasure in the car. She even watched us eat and did not demand the food for herself. We arrived home and an excited Otis ran toward her and jumped over her. Sugar was not happy.
Sugar has decided to sleep in my big tub. So I have let her. I have attached a picture of her in the tub.

Finally, I would like to tell of you about the K-9 Services German Shepard Rescue, they do an incredible job with rehabilitating abandoned shepherds. They accept donations to cover the cost of vet services and food for these animals. If you are interested in donating, please do it in Sugar's name to:

My favorite GSD Sampson napping in his new forever home

Boscoe Adopted! A letter from his foster mom:
He's such a great boy...We love him so much! He's a whooping 110lbs. as of now, vet. said he could gain another 15lbs. or so and that would be perfect for his frame. He's still such a puppy, loves to run and play with little Elsey who can't live without him. They are sooooooo close! He was the right boy for her broken heart, the entire family really. I have to say we have spoiled him...He goes to bed with me (crawls right up next to me) but he is a good listener cause he gets right down and lays on the floor when Joey comes in. He's been known to crawl in bed with Dillon from time to time, Dillon had the flu back in Feb. and Bosco would not leave his side...It was so sweet. Hope all is well, we just wanted you to know, We love our big guy and that
he is doing great! Thanks for helping us find our other half!
