Update on Captain: Captain is almost finished with his heartworm treatment. He has since gained weight and now weighs 70lbs from 39lbs a huge progress. Stan, Captain's current foster Dad informed us that Captain did have a grand mall seizure therefore, we are monitoring this closely. The Vet thinks that it maybe due to the heartworm treatment. Captain should be able to be healthy enough to arrive at our main location we are hoping by December 3rd. Captain has been in Rescue since late September. His medical care is extensive but he is a fighter so we fight for him and with him until he is able to find a home. We will keep everyone updated via our Social Media Pages.
Captain is our latest Rescue. He was picked up as a stray and only weighed 39bs, he is high heartworm positive and has skin infections.
First 4 Pics Below is a very fearful, shy, shut down Shepherd we named Amora.
We helped save her and named her Amora on Valentine's Day.
The Last 2 pics were taken of Amora while she has settled here at Shep Camp. Amora will be Available for Adoption Soon. This is why we always need your Shep Support, Can we count on you to help Save More Sheps that are listed on Death Row?
Please Help us Help them.
UPDATE CHANCE ADOPTED!
September 2023
Chance was Rescued from the Shelter, he was picked up as a stray with a horrific embedded collar wound. Chance is currently in foster care healing physically and emotionally. This poor boy has been through so much pain and suffering we named him Chance because now he has a 2nd Chance to have a great new start in Life.
We look forward to helping Chance find his forever home and family. He is now healed up and ready for his 2nd Chance.
Chance Adopted
August 2023
Sonny was found on the side of the Road, emaciated, alone and afraid. He was picked up by Animal Control Officers and taken to the Shelter where he was for about 3 weeks then we were called for Rescue Assistance. Apparently, his rear foot was run over by a car and completely crushed his bones. Because of the time delay that he was left untreated all we can do now is fight the bone infection with heavy doses of antibiotics. Despite all that this poor boy has been through he is always smiling! Sonny spends his time hoarding as many toys as he can find, he is such a joy and we are so happy we Saved Him!
October 2023
Sonny is now in a foster Home where his Foster mom, Lisa has officially adopted Sonny!
He continues to fight the bone infection but it is slowly getting better. Please continue to send prayers for Sonny for a complete healing and recovery.
Phoenix Arrived in Rescue Nov 7 2021
Owner Surrender because of a Tie out Cable entanglement injury when left alone unattended with another Puppy that was tied out. The two became entangled for a considerable amount of time left unsupervised as a result Phoenix sustained a major Foot and Leg injury that we are currently treating with the help of our Vet Dr. Nauman. We will post an update soon. We are grateful for all the Support for Phoenix!

Emergency Rescue Pics of Laurel Below:
We were called for Rescue Assistance by a kind Samaritan regarding a Shepherd he found tied to a tree while walking his dog near the woods. He immediately took his dog home and returned to the Shepherd to untether her Monday night. Someone had took a clamp and attached her leash to hedge bushes. He called the local Shelters they couldn’t take her in so he contacted us and we made arrangements with Stan and Mercy for foster home assistance! Again Thank you David for your compassion saving this sweet Shepherd and taking her to your Vet to be scanned for a microchip and no microchip was implanted. She has a full work up Medical Vet appointment. Her paw pads are blistered raw, skin infection, and emaciated. So thankful to David for his compassion and contacting us! We will update again once she settles in at Stan & Mercy’s home. So very happy this sweet girl is Safe!

UPDATE Honey Adopted Thank you Kat for being such a Great Dog Mom
This is the Video sent to me by someone extremely concerned regarding the welfare of this sweet female older Shepherd. This is neglect. Food and Water was provided by the Renters of the home that discovered her in the back of the 5 acres they live on. The landlord never mentioned there was a dog on the property! When questioned about the dog he just said get rid of her. They called me and we have been taking great care of a dog that we named Honey. Why Honey? Because She is as sweet as Tupelo Honey an Angel in the first Degree! Since her arrival at Rescue we have had to treat her for severe skin, and ear infections. Removal of a very large Mamory Tumor and now getting ready to treat her slow kill method for her high level of heartworm infestation. As you can imagine We Need Your Support.. Thank you for Caring Honey appreciates all of you and so do I...!

Captain was Rescued out of a Shelter where he was an Owner Surrender
We discovered that Captain has EPI (exocrine pancreatic insufficiency) which is a disease common with some Shepherds. We need to figure out what food Captain's digestive system will tolerate and absorb so that he can gain and retain a healthy body weight. Currently, Captain weighs 50 lbs he needs to weigh atleast 65-preferably 75 lbs for an ideal weight to match his size. Captain is only one year old, just a baby. Please Help us Help Captain You can donate via Paypal or go to our Amazon Wish List.
Thank you for your much needed Support for Captain!

AUGUST 2016 RESCUE
RIO RESCUE UPDATE:
Today was Rio's weekly Vet Visit. Unfortunately we have bad news. The bones are not healing and Rio is also having complications with ulcers around a dew claw that needs to be removed on the same leg. The break in his leg is a severe break because this bone is the supporting bone for his ankle. We are now faced with an additional 2k Challenge to Raise funds to help with Rio's costly medial expenses. We really had hope that all Rio would need was Casting but we were wrong and we just have to do all we can for Rio. Rio's foster Mom and Dad are really upset because it has been emotionally and physically challenging to keep Rio from having to bear any pressure on that leg, so Please keep Everybody in your Thoughts and Prayers.
Rio was hit by a car and left for Dead on the streets of Miami Florida. With the help of kind people and Fire and Rescue of Miami Rio was taken to the Shelter and from there he arrived in Rescue. Rio has a broken ankle and bone bruising. He is underweight and will also need additional vetting, i.e neuter etc. We need to Raise Funds to help Stan and Mercy Rio's foster Caregivers with full Rio Rehabilitation. Thank you for your Support and Caring..
Ginger UPDATE: After a few months of rehabilitation Ginger was finally Adopted and now in her forever home.
